Natural Sunscreen

Why Natural Sunscreen is best!.....

These days more and more people are becoming aware that what they put into their bodies (ie foods, drinks and medications ) could be having a detrimental effect on their health and wellbeing, This also rings true for our skin which is our largest body organ. We also need to be aware that whatever we put on is being absorbed into our organs and could possibly be impacting on our health too.

This increased knowledge has seen a growing demand for more natural healthy options in our food , supplements and skin and body products including our sunscreen. With our harsh New Zealand sun the need for regular application of sunscreen on all family members is hugely important.

A natural sunscreen contains active ingredients such as Zinc Oxide. The natural product covers the skins surface creating a barrier which reflects the suns UV rays. A chemical sunscreen however soaks into the skin and then absorbs and neutralizes the suns UV rays meaning the chemicals are also absorbed in.

Natural Sunscreens tend to contain fewer ingredients and what they do contain is less allergenic meaning less cause for irritation. This means that they are an excellent alternative for those with  problematic skin conditions. Zinc is known to have a soothing and healing action on the skin and many of the other ingredients such as shea butter and jojoba oil are also nourishing and healing.

We stock the Oasis Sun SPF 30 sunscreens at One Stop Health, Oasis products are cruelty free and free of parabens, mineral oil, phthalates, sulphates, and nano-particles

They come in 2 sizes.. 50ml travel tube  and 250ml family tube and are priced from $16.90

Our First Blog

Phew....what a mission this has been to actually get our blog started, what to say, how to say it, soooo here we go!

About us at One Stop Health

We are new to the online/mail order way of shopping but have been in the natural health industry for many years with our retail sister shop.

We genuinely care about providing great service and support to our customers and are very passionate about natural health.

We are always trying to source new and exciting products for our customers which can genuinely improve their health and wellbeing – whether it is supplements, skin and body care or general yumness!

We would like you to meet our friend Jack.

our friend jack

We have known Jack for many years and he is a regular customer at One Stop Health and our sister shop Holistic Health. Jack has Muscular Dystrophy and is in a wheel chair.  He recently had an operation to straighten his leg which meant it was broken in several places and fixed with a steel rod.

We reckon he is the new bionic man.

We at One Stop Health get great pleasure at being able to help Jack and other people with mobility issues.

There are many reasons why it’s not easy to get to a shop, so being able to receive your products via courier can make life a lot easier.

Two of Jacks favourite products during recovery were:

Sanderson Magnesium FX (click for more info) to help with muscle soreness and recovery.

Clean Lean Protein Powder (click for more info) to help with rebuilding muscles etc.

And to keep him fresh for his many visitors while in hospital he used:

Crystal Deodorant (click for more info)

Yay Jack we are so excited to hear you are doing so well with your recovery and so pleased we were able to help you out.

Cheers Prue and the Team
